Children's Home "Rainbow of Hope" in Moldova

The children's home "Rainbow of Hope" offers about 25 children a temporary or permanent home in Moldova, the poorest country in Europe. In many cases, these children have been abandoned by their parents or live in difficult conditions and extreme poverty - often on their own. For many of them, the children's home is often the first time in their lives that they experience what it means for someone to truly care for them, look after them, and love them. Often, the home is only a short-term place to stay until relatives are found who can take the children in. But for some, it also becomes their home, their new family.

Ukraine: Brave helpers in the middle of the war

For three years now, a brutal war has been raging in Ukraine. Thousands of people have lost their lives, millions have fled. Only a few have remained in the contested regions – often elderly people or individuals with disabilities who cannot or do not want to leave their homes. Brave helpers from ADRA regularly provide these people with food packages. This is a project that started shortly after the war began and is still being carried out by ADRA in cooperation with the United Nations World Food Programme.
